Workshops on 'Citizen Journalism' PDF Print E-mail

IPS LEAD - the Learning, Excellence and Development Program of Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, in collaboration with Pakistan Youth Change Advocates (PYCA), organized a couple of two-day workshops on 'Citizen Journalism', for male and female students of media sciences/mass communication separately, on July 28-29 and August 1-2, 2016.

The workshop was part of IPS LEAD's efforts to actively engage and capacitate the youth of Pakistan - which forms more than 60 per cent of the country’s population - in promoting policy-oriented research, dialogue and knowledge creation for nation building and progress.

The training, it is hoped, would go a long way in capacitating the students for effective and meaningful citizen journalism and providing the young people with a platform for information sharing with a larger national and international audience.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
