IPRA Peace Conference, Istanbul - 2014 PDF Print E-mail

 IPS Lead Coordinator Irfan Shahzad participated in the 25th General Conference of International Peace Research Association - IPRA held in ISTANBUL from August 11 to 15.

The conference theme was “Uniting for Peace: Building Sustainable Peace through Universal Values” and it was organized jointly by IPRA and Sakarya University, Turkey.

Shahzad presented a co-authored paper titled “Security, Peace & Development in Central Asia: Caught between many Silk Roads” along with Dr. Akbota Zholdasbekova from Kazakhstan in the conference.

The event provided a good opportunity to exchange views and build linkages with intellectuals and research organizations from around the world.
