IPS team member Fehmeeda Khalid represented the institute in a three day International conference titled 'Local Representation of Power in South Asia 2014' on November 12-14, 2014, where she delivered a presentation on 'Traditional Mechanisms of Conflict Resolution: An Analysis of Jirga in Pashtoon/Pakhtoon Society'. The conference was organized by the Political Science Department of Government College University Lahore whereas its participants included scholars and intellectuals from Pakistan as well as abroad including Germany, China, India, etc.
