IPS signs MoU with National Youth Assembly

Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Youth Assembly of Pakistan on 28 September 2012 as part of its Leadership, Excellence and Development (LEAD) program.
National Youth Assembly (www.nya.com.pk) is a registered, not-for-profit volunteer youth organization, with country-wide and overseas representation – established in 2011, to build a brighter future for young people. NYA acts as a model parliament for young Pakistanis from diverse backgrounds.
Through this MoU, IPS and NYA have agreed to conduct joint activities on diversified national and international issues and empowering youth with knowledge, vision, values and soft skills through engaging them in a variety of training and capacity building programs. The arrangement will also foment IPS outreach efforts to carry out advocacy activities based on its applied research.
The MoU was signed in a ceremony by Hannan Abbasi, President, NYA and Afzaal Naveed, Senior Manager IPS. DG-IPS Khalid Rahman and Manager Outreach Naufil Shahrukh were also present on the occasion among other officials from both the organizations.
