‘Islamic Approach to Governance’

Chairman IPS Khalid Rahman delivered a presentation on the topic of ‘Islamic Approach to Governance’ to a group of students from the law department of National University of Science and Technology (NUST), which were visiting the Institute along with their teaching faculty on March 11, 2022 as part of an exposure trip.

During the course of his presentation, Rahman apprised the participants about the basic principles of governance as per Islam as well as the role and contributions of the caliphate system in Islamic history. The speaker, in addition, also enlightened the audience with the rudimentary knowledge of Islamic economic model and Islamic justice system.

Earlier the visitors were briefed by IPS’ Senior Research Officer Syed Nadeem Farhat about the Institute’s thematic background and activities, having an emphasis on some of its ongoing endeavors such as the study analyzing the issue of alleged forced conversion in Pakistan.
