About the Book
The book Islam aur Ghair Janibdarana Insani Khidmat is based on the speeches and papers presented in an IPS-ICRC’ joint national conference ‘Islam and Humanitarian Action: Prospects and Challenges‘, which was held on November 24-25, 2021 in Karachi.
Apart from projecting the message of the conference to a wider audience, the main goal of the book is to draw attention towards the opportunities for understanding and cooperation regarding humanity, respect for humanity and humanitarian services in the light of Islamic teachings.
Published in 2022, Islam aur Ghair Janibdarana Insani Khidmat is the second book produced by IPS (Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad) and ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) in collaboration. Earlier in 2021, a book titled Islam aur Takreem-e-Insaniyat ke Usool was also co-published by the two organizations.
