Electoral Scenario in Pakistan: An Analysis Based on Historic Data
Institute of Policy Studies is going to have an exclusive and unique session with Dr. Ijaz Shafi Gilani on his ongoing research on the electoral landscape of Pakistan, titled “Electoral Scenario in Pakistan: An Analysis Based on Historic Data”.
Dr Ijaz Shafi Gilani is regarded as one of the pioneers of the field of opinion polling in Pakistan. He holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has taught at leading universities in Pakistan and abroad, and established Gallup Pakistan in 1980. Currently, Dr Gilani is Chairman of Gallup Pakistan & Gilani Research Foundation.
The interactive session aims to discuss the insights of Dr Gilani based on decades of his frequent analyses of the electoral politics landscape in Pakistan, the patterns, discourses, and factors influencing elections over the years, and also his recent work on emerging and future trends.
