VC-IPS highlights the importance of effective boarder management, P2P contacts between Pakistan, Afghanistan
IPS’ Vice Chairman Ambassador (r) Syed Abrar Hussain represented the Institute at the roundtable titled ‘Pak-Afghan Relations: Challenges and Opportunities’, which was organized by Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) on July 23, 2024.
Speaking on the occasion, VC-IPS signified the need of having strong diplomatic relations and people-to-people contact between Pakistan and Afghanistan, while underscoring the importance of ensuring efficient border management between the two countries.
He also called on regional countries to assist the Afghan interim government in addressing its capacity issues concerning terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.
