Dr Syed Kaleem Imam

Dr Syed Kaleem Imam is a distinguished civil servant with over 33 years of service, renowned for his impactful contributions to law enforcement, academia, and organizational development. He holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations, an LLM in Human Rights Law, and a Master’s in Philosophy. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal positions, including Inspector General (IG) of Police in Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, and Motorways, as well as Federal Secretary for the Narcotics Control Division. His extensive experience includes roles as SSP in Sibi, Nasirabad, Quetta, and Islamabad, Deputy Director of FIA Immigration at Islamabad Airport, Chief Security Officer to the Prime Minister, Deputy Director General of the Intelligence Bureau, and Director of the National Police Bureau.

Internationally, Dr. Imam has served in UN Peacekeeping missions in Mozambique and Liberia and held the position of Police Commissioner in Darfur, Sudan. He has received numerous accolades, including three UN Peace Medals, the Quaid-i-Azam Police Medal, the President’s Police Medal, and both the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

In addition to his extensive practical experience, Dr. Imam actively contributes to academic discourse through public forums, training institutes, and media outlets, boasting a portfolio of widely acclaimed national and international publications. He also serves as a visiting faculty member at various universities and works as a consultant for UNDP, further solidifying his commitment to knowledge sharing and capacity building.
