Delegation from Al-Kausar University visited IPS
The Department of English of AlKauthar Islamic University arranged an exposure visit of IPS – Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad for its students on Wednesday, 30 December 2015. The young visitors were given a presentation on the Institute’s history and programmes by Syed Nadeem Farhat, Research Coordinator, which was followed by an interactive session with DG-IPS Khalid Rahman.
DG-IPS Khalid Rahman, while answering the questions from the delegates, deliberated upon various issues of the present national and international scenario, use of media in modern world as a tool of war, educational policy in Pakistan, and the need of promoting air of amity among the practitioners of different schools of thought.
The students also showed interest in making contributions to IPS work upon which they were briefed about different ways of staying engaged with IPS while keeping in view the common reference points of Islam and Pakistan.
