IPS represented in CSSPR conference at University of Lahore
IPS research team member Fatima Habib participated in a two-day event – comprising a conference and a workshop – hosted by Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR) at University of Lahore (UoL) on October 30-31, 2016.
The event was organized to launch CSSPR’s partnership with Nuclear Proliferation International History Project (NPIHP), Wilson Center, Washington DC.
The first day conference on ‘Contemporary Nuclear History’ deliberated on the challenges of documenting nuclear history through selected case studies by a group of nuclear historians from the United States, Italy, India and Pakistan. The second day workshop on ‘Researching International Nuclear History’ provided an opportunity to the NPIHP participants and Pakistani experts to interact with a select group of emerging scholars and academicians from various research institutes in Pakistan which were working on South Asian nuclear issues.
