The institution of family has been instrumental in giving Pakistani society a sense of cohesion, group feelings and moral consciousness. Today, however, it is faced with numerous challenges giving way to different socio-economic, religious and psychological problems. This is the essence of the latest report “Khandan Ka Idara: Derpesh Challenge” (Challenges to the Institution of Family) by the Institute.
Based on the deliberations of the IPS Study Group on Women, the report addresses some crucial questions and offers practicable recommendations. The report also highlights the issues that give rise to disputes in a family. In the final part, it discusses the existing judicial system and legal problems.
