Islam & the West: Bridging the Gaps – A Talk by Ms. Lauren Booth
Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is organizing an exclusive talk by Ms. Lauren Booth, a british TV presenter, broadcaster and journalist, on the topic of “Islam and the West: Bridging the Gaps” on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 pm.
The key discussants will include Dr Farkhanda Zia, vice president, IIUI, Syed Abu Ahmad Akif, former federal secretary and an author, and Executive President IPS Khalid Rahman.

About the Speaker:
Lauren Booth is a TV presenter, broadcaster, journalist and activist. She is also the author of the book Finding Peace In The Holy Land. A sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Booth is one of most high-profile converts to Islam in the West.
In 2010, Booth converted to Islam a few years after her visit to Palestine and became a practicing Muslim. She has given hundreds of speeches on her conversion also attributing it to her experiences with Palestinian families in the West Bank and Gaza.
