The Living Scripts | Javed Hasan Aly (Former Federal Secretary, Environment)

The tenth session of IPS’ series ‘The Living Scripts‘
was held with Javed Hasan Aly, former federal secretary, Establishment &
federal secretary, Environment, on January 17, 2020.

After talking briefly about his childhood and academic life,
aly shed light on his civil services career which spanned over 40 years. During
this period. he served in different departments of FIA, Ministry of Defence,
FBR, NIPA and Aviation. Later, he also worked as a personal secretary of
Muhammad Khan Junejo, the then Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The speaker also discussed during the session about several
challenging situations he faced during his professional life which he was able
to overcome on the strength of his education. He advised the participants,
especially the younger lot, to develop a habit of reading as it will not only
increase their exposure but will also make them more valuable on the back of
their knowledge.
