Ambassador Masood Khalid is a distinguished career diplomat who joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1979. With over four decades of exemplary service, he stands out as one of Pakistan’s most decorated and accomplished diplomats.

In January 2013, he was appointed as Ambassador to China, following significant ambassadorial roles in South Korea and Malaysia. During his tenure in China, Ambassador Khalid played a pivotal role in enhancing Pakistan-China relations, notably as a key architect in the conception, launch, and consolidation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Recognized for his exceptional commitment, he was honored as the longest-serving ambassador in Pakistan’s Foreign Service. His legacy includes invaluable contributions that have shaped the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, marking him as a vital figure in the nation’s diplomatic history.
