Creative Writing Workshop | Youth Voices: Shaping Tomorrow Through Words

Aiming to provide young voices with an opportunity to develop their skills and express their perspectives in a meaningful way, IPS LEAD (The Learning, Excellence and Development program of IPS) organized a workshop on creative writing skills, titled ‘Youth Voices: Shaping Tomorrow Through Words’, on October 29, 2024.

The idea was to provide a platform for the upcoming generation of writers to improve their writing skills and engage in intellectually stimulating discussions, fostering on the way a culture of intellectual and creative growth in the country.

The event was led by Syed Abu Ahmed Akif, an accomplished author, former federal secretary and member, IPS’ National Advisory Council (NAC), while Faizan Rasool, CEO Indigo Video Games, and Zoha Khokhar, language trainer and freelance editor, facilitated the practical sessions of the workshop.

The workshop, which was designed for students, young professionals, and aspiring writers, emphasized creative expression and encouraged participants to pursue their passion for writing, stressing the importance of critical thinking as a foundational skill, and empowering young writers to adopt a reflective approach to creative expression.
