DG-IPS participates in symposium ‘The Situation of Afghanistan after NATO’ in Turkey
DG-IPS Khalid Rahman visited Istanbul, Turkey to participate in the symposium “The Situation of Afghanistan after NATO”, on May 6-7, 2015, where he shared his paper ‘Political Stability and Security Challenges in Afghanistan’, apart from partaking in a meaningful discussion forum.
The event, which was organized by Turkish research institution GASAM (South Asia Strategic Research Center), included panelists from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey. The representatives from Pakistan included Rahimullah Yusufzai, Sr. journalist and expert on Afghanistan, Dr. Fakhrul Islam, director, Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar, Dr. M. Iqbal Khalil, Institute of Regional Studies (IRS), Peshawar and Ambassador (r) Ashraf Jehangir Qazi.
