Dr. S. M. Zaman
Dr. S. M. Zaman is a prominent scholar, historian and social reformer. He is former Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, which is a constitutional body that provides advisory to the legislature over issues pertaining to Islamic Law. He has also headed National Institute of Historical and Cultural Research and Director General of Islamic Research Institute of International Islamic University Islamabad. He has authored and edited a number of books and research papers on education, socio-cultural history and various topics of Islam and Muslim society. He been member of several literary and research organizations and has organized and participated in several national and international conferences. He has also supervised numerous theses for the award of M.Phil and PhD Degrees.
