Written by Dr Anis Ahmad – a social scientist and a meritorious professor of comparative religion and Islamic studies – the book is an effort to look into the core issues of the gender, law and society in Islam from a Qur’anic viewpoint. The book reviews the liberal narrative as well as conventional approaches over the matter, proposing to revisit the issue in the light of Qur’anic concept of equality and fairness.
