As part of the contemporary civilizational discourses in the context of post-colonialism, ‘Critical Muslim Studies’ is an emerging academic trend. This seminar is an attempt to explore this trend and the various meanings of decolonization of knowledge and discuss what this might mean for the study of Islamic societies, ideas and practices.
