Interactive discussion on ‘Islamic Social Finance’ at CII
Headed by Chairman IPS Khalid Rahman, an IPS delegation visited Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on April 27, 2022 and had an insightful discussion on the topic of Islamic social finance.
A presentation on the topic was given online from Karachi by Dr Salman Ahmed Shaikh, assistant professor at SZABIST, and principal investigator of IPS’ project ‘Support to Social Protection including Social Health Protection’. The presentation was followed by the talks of Chairman IPS and the Institute’s Senior Research Associate Dr Shahzad Iqbal Shaam, after which Chairman CII Dr Qibla Ayaz concluded the discussion. The other participants of the session included Dr Ikram-ul-Haq, secretary, CII, Naufil Shahrukh, GM Operations at IPS, and the Institute’s research team members M Wali Farooqi and Hafiz Usama Hameed.
