IPS 40th anniversary celebrated at the Iftar Dinner

It is a matter of great honor and pride for IPS that on May 19, 2019, it has completed the 40th year of its continuous services aimed at promoting evidence-based and value-driven policy making in Pakistan through applied research, dialogue, publications, human development and advocacy.

The Institute celebrated the milestone by carrying out a number of activities including holding an iftar dinner on May 21, 2019 in continuation of its annual practice. The event, which was attended by the present and former associates, affiliates, sponsors and team members of IPS, also celebrated its 40th anniversary, reflecting upon the Institute’s various achievements and accomplishments to date and praying for its similar success in future as well.

Apart from the ceremony, IPS also launched a social media campaign with the hashtag #40YearsOfIPS. The campaign prominently shared the highlights of the Institute’s 40-year journey in pictorial form, not only reflecting upon the variety of topics the Institute has delved upon thus far but also showcasing the assortment of eminent national and international speakers, experts and thinkers hailing from diverse schools of thought who have played a significant role in shaping Institute’s recommendations and propositions all this long. In addition, the preparation of the Institute’s documentary film and a comprehensive archival report is also underway as part of the 40-year celebration.
