IPS and NCHD sign MoU
Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) signed an MoU with National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) according to which both the organizations will cooperate and collaborate with each other in research projects and capacity building activities.
The MoU was the result of an initiative taken under IPS LEAD – the Learning, Excellence and Development programme of the Institute. It was signed by DG-NCHD Orya Maqbool Jan and DG-IPS Khalid Rahman in a simple ceremony held at NCHD head offices on September 1, 2015.
It may be mentioned that NCHD is a statutory body of Pakistan created under the National Commission for Human Development Ordinance, 2002, with the objective to promote human development by supporting government line departments and elected officials; and whereas its programme Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) are operating community schools and providing non-formal education across the country.
