IPS LEAD’s interactive symposium on career navigation
The event was conducted as lead facilitator by Yasir Masood Afaq, an organizational psychologist having work experience of national and international media and research agencies, S.M. Nabeel Imtiaz, who has worked for corporate and academic sectors both in Pakistan and abroad, and Rafia Tehseen, an eminent HR consultant and trainer.
The presentations, which were targeted towards students, early career professionals and mid-career switch seekers, revolved around fundamentals of career choice, trajectory of job, career and profession, self-diagnostics of professional aptitude, art of networking & internetworking, development of professional looking CVs and cover letter, targeted pursuits of the right opportunities, etc.
The participants, who came from institutions like International Islamic University, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Air University, Riphah International University, Comsats Institute of Information Technology, National Defense University, National University of Modern Languages, Preston University, Arid Agriculture University, SAFE, Law Student Council, Pacific Mindshare Forum, HRS Global, IPSOS, Pak Qatar Takaful and Positive Pakistan, unleashed and enhanced their inner potentials by developing an understanding on strategic and tactical career planning, wider perspectives of self-fulfilling existence and the paradigm shifts for career trajectory.
