IPS partakes in dialogue on Indian influence in Indian Ocean
IPS was represented by Waqar-un-Nisa, a research team member at Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad, in the panel discussion of a focused talk on ‘Growing Indian Influence on Western Indian Ocean: Response Options for Pakistan’. The session, which was organized by Institute of Maritime Affairs (IMA), Bahria University, Islamabad, on June 6, 2018, discussed Indian engagements in the region and its implications for Pakistan while stressing for the enhancement of naval capabilities as well as on the need of devising a comprehensive maritime strategy to deal with emerging threats in the region.
