IPS’ study on Islamic social finance presented at IBA-CIEF
Dr Salman Ahmed Shaikh, associate professor, SZABIST and IPS’ Non-Resident Fellow (NRF) participated in a working group meeting of experts in Islamic social finance stakeholders, which was hosted by IBA-CEIF (Institute of Business Administration – Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance), Karachi on November 16, 2023.
The session was chaired by Justice Dr Syed Mohammad Anwer, Aalim Judge, Federal Shariat Court and member IPS-National Academic Council.
Dr Shaikh presented the highlights of his study on the subject, which was recently conducted at IPS.
The other participants of the program included the representatives of Saylani Welfare Trust, Baitussalam, Alamgir Welfare Trust, Bint-e-Qutb foundation, social entrepreneurs, finance industry executives and academics.
