IPS, Univ of Gwadar sign MoU; jointly hold Chairman IPS’ talk

Themed around ‘The Role of Academia in Policy Processes’, an interactive session with Chairman IPS Khalid Rahman was collaboratively held by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, and the University of Gwadar (UoG) at the University’s library on May 18, 2022.

During his keynote speech, Rahman underscored the importance of the role of academia in shaping public opinion as well as in facilitating policymaking at the national level. He foresaw a bright future for the University of Gwadar ahead while signifying the potential and role that the Institution can play in uplifting the people of the area.

Earlier, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the two Institutions with a view to collaborate in research activities and other areas of mutual interests.

Penned down by Chairman IPS Khalid Rahman and Vice Chancellor University of Gwadar Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir on behalf of their respective institutions, the MoU signing ceremony was also attended by Dolat Khan, registrar, UoG, Shafi Muhammad Baloch, treasurer, UoG, Saghir Naseem, director ORIC (Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization) at UoG, Rehmat Ullah, PSO to Vice Chancellor UoG and Muhammad Wali Farooqi, a research officer at IPS.
