Lead Coordinator IPS delivers lecture series at Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran

Lead Coordinator IPS Irfan Shahzad visited Tehran, Iran from December 4-9, 2015 on the invitation of Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU) as a guest foreign lecturer. Students of postgraduate level as well as faculty members attended his lectures.

He delivered four lectures on the following topics: “Issues for Researchers to focus in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Region”, “Pakistan: A Political and Social Profile”; “Pakistan’s Economy and Economic Relations with ECO Region” at ATU’s ECO College and “Pakistan’s Foreign Policy” at the university’s Political Science Department.
Shahzad also held a detailed meeting with the Dean of the ECO College Dr. Atousa Goodarzi, to discuss ideas for institutional cooperation between IPS and the college. He also visited ECO Secretariat and held discussions with the organization’s officials with an aim to understand the work of this important regional cooperation body.
