Volunteerism helps youth channelize their energies towards a fructuous direction: Chairman IPS
IPS’ Chairman Khalid Rahman was invited to speak at a ceremony titled ‘The Experience Journey of Camp Himalayas’, which was organized by Youth Impact – a not-for-profit social development organization – to showcase and acknowledge 75 peacebuilding projects undertaken by youth leaders it trained from across Pakistan this year.
The event held on November 30, 2022 also marked the 10th anniversary of Youth Impact’s program “Markhor”, along with launching its 10th edition.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahman lauded the efforts made by Youth Impact to give back to the society by promoting volunteerism among youth. He stressed the importance and need of having more of such platforms which can play a pivotal role in channeling the energies and potential of youth towards a fructuous direction.
Apart from Rahman, the ceremony was also addressed by Saad Tariq Siddiqui, chairman, Alpine Club of Pakistan, Tauseeq Haider, famous TV Anchor, Abdul Samad Khan, CEO, Youth Impact, and Mathew Singer, director, public affairs section, US embassy, whereas GMO IPS Naufil Shahrukh was also present on the occasion.
