A training workshop on ‘Oral
History Research Techniques’ was organized on July 10, 2020 as part of IPS’
team development program.
Conducted by Dr Sana Haroon,
a renowned historian and associate professor at University of Massachusetts at
Boston, the workshop aimed to capacitate the participants – comprising IPS’ research
faculty – on the importance of oral history research in policy studies, how to
plan an oral history project, how to prepare its questionnaire in order to
extract the relevant information and then how to record, transcribe and archive
the proceedings in an efficient manner.
