WTO and Pakistan.
On Feb 3, a seminar “WTO and Pakistan” was organized. Former Chief Economist Mr. Fasihuddin and former federal secretary and chairman of the National Tariffs Commission Mr. Masud Daher were the main speakers, while Federal Minister for Textile Industry Mr. Mushtaq Ali Cheema was the Chief Guest. IPS Chairman Prof. Khurshid Ahmad presided over the session.
The speakers noted that the WTO presents both challenges and opportunities for Pakistan, depending on the level of our preparedness, or lack of it.
